#BienvenidosAll

In New Mexico the law is clear: if you are a business that is open to the public, you cannot pick and choose who to serve based on race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or other protected statuses. Unfortunately, in cases across the country and even in our own state, we have seen businesses or employees choose to discriminate against New Mexicans; whether it’s a pharmacy turning away a customer seeking prescriptions related to their reproductive health care or a recreational facility turning a child away because of who their parents love.

In our state, bienvenidos isn’t just a word, but a feeling of warmth, welcoming, and belonging.

With our #BienvenidosAll stickers and social media campaigns, we are shining a spotlight on places that have an open door and warm welcome for all of our families – across our identities – as we access the care, services, and communities we need.

Together, we will put an end to the dangerous, painful, and oftentimes humiliating practice using personal religious beliefs as an excuse to deny service or critical care to others.
