Who is NM Entiende?

New Mexico’s communities deserve to access healthcare and other services with dignity and without discrimination, even if it’s based on deeply held beliefs, and this drives the investment and collaboration in the NMEntiende project. The religious refusal educational collaboration began nearly a decade ago that envisioned a New Mexico where all people have access to the care and community they need, regardless of who they are or who they love, and regardless of anyone else’s deeply held beliefs.

If you are interested in joining our community collaboration to actively support a movement to build a better New Mexico -- one where we can all shop, eat, and receive services from our favorite local businesses with the dignity and respect we deserve.

Bold Futures centers around highlighting the lived experiences and expertise of those most impacted by an issue, engaging with people at the intersection of their identities. As a statewide reproductive justice organization, Bold Futures works in Policy, Organizing, Research, Culture shift, and Healing with community and leaders at the center of our work.

Strong Families cultivates people power by deeply caring for our communities, growing our collective leadership, and centering the lived experiences of people most impacted to shape meaningful change. We lead organizing, movement building, narrative, leadership development, and civic engagement strategies so that people can thrive. Strong Families builds collaborations and networks of partner organizations, cohorts of year-round community leaders, and a statewide rural organizing base that wins policies, expands affordable healthcare and full-spectrum reproductive healthcare access, and does all this work with the community at the center.

The New Mexico Dream Team is a statewide network committed to create power for multigenerational, undocumented, LGBTQ+, and mixed status families towards liberation. Through training and leadership development, we work to engage our community and allies, in becoming leaders using an intersectional, gender, and racial justice lens—to develop and implement an organizing and advocacy infrastructure for policy change fighting to dismantle systematic oppression.

The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico is an affiliate of the ACLU, that nation’s premier civil rights and civil liberties organization. Our mission is to protect and advance justice, liberty and equity as guaranteed by the Constitutions of New Mexico and the United States. Using legislative advocacy, community partnerships, and legal strategy, we fight for a more just, equitable, and free New Mexico where all people belong and are respected.
